I love that my two boys are turning out to be complete Anglophiles like their Mommy.  I love all things British.  So, naturally I tuned into MSNBC yesterday to see the coverage of the Order of the Garter.  Well, I'm sitting there watching while the boys are playing with their tractors.  When the Queen appeared on the screen, Ben (2 years old) yelled "HIP HIP!!"  to which his 4 year old brother, TJ, replied "HUZZAH!".  This continued 2 more times at which point Benny proclaimed "God Save the Queen!"

I love my boys (and the Queen!)

Thought I'd make life easier and bring the boys downstairs to play this morning, then Ben (the 2 year old) fell and scraped his face.  After we wiped away the tears he's back to playing with the keyboard and singing the "ABC Song".  TJ (almost 4) is playing with a dump truck.  I was looking forward to a quiet morning since I've been fighting a cold, I guess "quiet" doesn't exist with 2 little guys in the house.

I'm hoping to spend part of my afternoon (during naptime) working on a few cards.  I'd like to get my Valentine's Day cards started.  Maybe I'll actually spend some time scrapbooking this weekend...who knows!

Happy weekend!

Hi all!  Thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself.  In the past year or so, I have become hopelessly and totally addicted to making cards.  Because of this, my scrapbooks have suffered...I keep telling myself that after I finish making Valentine's Day cards I will dust of my scrapbooks and get busy.  Unfortunately, after Valentine's Day there is always St. Patrick's Day and Easter.

Last year I joined a group of women in making blank cards to send to our brave American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.  These cards are for the soldiers to send home to their families.  It brings me such joy thinking about a child coming home from school and finding one of my cards in the mailbox from Mommy or Daddy.

Because I tend to make cards in bulk, most of my designs are simple and can easily adapt to many occasions.  I'm looking forward to seeing your ideas and being inspired by your creativity.
